Key Change — CGL Tier-II 2023-24 Onwards: The old three-paper format (Paper I: QA, Paper II: English, Paper III: Statistics/Finance) has been replaced by a single integrated 150-question paper with 3-mark scoring and a stiffer −1 penalty. Note on Current Affairs: Current affairs questions in the practice set will be grounded in factual events from documented historical periods (pre-August 2025) — not invented or speculated. Questions will be phrased as "As of [year]..." to remain evergreen and curriculum-appropriate.

Both exams share an identical Tier-I pattern, but differ significantly at Tier-II and in overall difficulty ceiling.

Content Strategy: Questions tagged CGL-only will appear in harder batches with advanced numerics, Statistics sub-topics, and critical reasoning. Questions tagged CHSL-compatible cap at moderate difficulty. All 1,000 questions will carry an exam-compatibility tag so the website can filter by exam type.

Copyright & Originality Methodology
All 1,000 questions will be independently authored using the PYQ analysis as a pattern guide — not as a reproduction source. The following methodology governs every question created in Phase 2.
PYQ → Original Question: The 5-Step Process
- Identify the concept — What mathematical operation, grammatical rule, or factual domain does the PYQ test?
- Isolate the skill — Strip the original values, names, and scenario. Keep only the underlying skill (e.g., "finding CI when rate is compounded half-yearly").
- Assign new context — Choose a fresh scenario, fresh variables, fresh numerical values. No shared numbers, no shared story stem.
- Independently solve — Derive the answer from scratch. The solution path must be self-derived, not back-filled from a known answer.
- Verify originality — Confirm the question does not reproduce any specific PYQ sentence, option set, or distinctive trick. Record the concept-tag so deduplication is possible across batches.

Quality Gate — Per Batch: Each batch of 100 questions will be self-reviewed for (a) answer accuracy, (b) unambiguous correct option, (c) plausible-but-wrong distractors, (d) no duplicate concept within the batch, (e) difficulty label consistency, and (f) no sentence reproduced from any known source. Batches submitted with confirmed answer keys.
Accuracy Commitment: Accuracy is more important than speed. No General Awareness question will assert a specific government appointment, exam date, result, vacancy count, or official link unless it is a documented historical fact from a verified source. Current-affairs questions will use "As of [Year]" phrasing to remain factually stable on the website.
Phase 1 Complete — Awaiting Approval
This document covers all Phase 1 deliverables: exam pattern analysis, PYQ topic-frequency tables (QA / Reasoning / English / GA), CGL vs CHSL comparison, 1,000-question sub-topic allocation, 42-chapter study material index, and the copyright methodology. Please review and approve to proceed to Phase 2 — question generation (10 batches of 100).
Phase 2 will not begin until this Phase 1 document is explicitly approved.
